Hi all,
Thank you so much for your continued support. We have over 25,000 signatures so far and we only want to push for more. So please keep sharing with your friends! Everyone who is pregnant or has been does really appreciate it. It means a heck of a lot to me personally and to us all for different reasons. Please do have a look through the stories of others and their reasons for signing - it helps us to understand and see why this is a pressing issue that needs to be changed going forward.
So, I just wanted to post a little update for you.
The NHS in Wales have recently released an update which basically states that nothing will be changed - regardless of there being less social distancing and restrictions in place. (see attachment) This does not seem to be fair or right on so many levels.
How is it that we can go to the pub or out for a meal without socially distancing and no masks, yet we can't have one partner there to support us for the one of the most crucial times of our lives?!
I have recently written to Alun Cairns (Vale of Glamorgan local MP) to ask him to write to Mark Drakeford (First Minister of Wales) and get a response to the petition and what we are asking. I am yet to hear back but hoping that I do this week.
If you feel compelled to help more and would like to be part of the change.. please do consider doing likewise and emailing Alun Cairns about the issue. The more of us to raise awareness and draw attention to the issue, the more likely that we will get the changes we need.
Renember, your voice counts. You can make change happen. Let's do this, together. Keep sharing. Keep signing. We deserve this.
Thank you all.
Mel
