From what it seems, lots of us know of someone who has had a negative experience of birth (post-covid), which makes this petition very personal and all the more important. It saddens my heart to hear your stories but it also pushes me further to want change even more.
I just wanted to take this time to say a huge THANK YOU. I have read each one of your comments/reasons for signing and I stand with you. For the one who is pregnant and anxious, for the sisters who are thinking of their siblings and for the friends who believe in the cause - thank you all.
Let's keep pushing forwards... please keep sharing and and getting people you know to sign. The more signatures and support, the better chance we have of winning and writing to Mark Drakeford about this matter.
Becoming parents, (whether that is for the first time or the last) and being there to witness it is a basic human right (surely!). Are our government taking this seriously enough? It seems not, especially given the fact that I have more support on this petition now. The need for change is there.
Let's show our value and care for humanity. Stay with me. Make a stand. Empower women. Stand together. Have your voice heard. Let's see and most importantly be part of the change. Together.
