'Build more Free Public Parks for Disabled Children' Petition
The Issue
I don't think there are enough Playground Facilities in and around Birmingham for Disabled Children to play in!!! And it's not fair!!!
Disabled Children need to play too!!!
The Closest to Birmingham being Bournstream Trust in Gloucestershire, even this you have to make a one off payment of £10 to join.

Please support this worthwhile cause by signing my online petition to force the hand of Birmingham City Council to build more Free Facilities
Please find below a Draft copy (content may change in the future) of the petition I aim to send to the Councillor(s)/Council, please sign if you agree:
'Build more Free Public Parks for Disabled Children in Birmingham Area'
We Parent(s)/Guardian(s)/Carer(s)/Relatives would like to ask the Council to build more, free to use Playground Facilities for Disabled Children of all ages please.
There are no local Playground Facilities of this sort within our County, and Disabled Children are being treated as second class citizens within an equal rights Community.
This kind of behavior would not be accepted in a workplace, so why should it be accepted in our every day lives?
Disabled Children need to play as much as, if not more than able-bodied children. This form of play can also be used as a form of Physiotherapy, and can therefore be totally beneficial to all parties involved, within a disabled child's treatment plan.
WE WANT: SOME EASILY ACCESSIBLE PLAYGROUND FACILITIES FOR DISABLED CHILDREN OF ALL AGES BUILT.
We feel very strongly that access to play and social inclusion is not a luxury, it is a basic requirement for good quality of life and personal development for children with disabilities
I agree!!!
