Dear Bioware, please make an immediate change to loot drop rates in Anthem.

The Issue

Dear Ben Irvo, Jesse Anderson, and the Bioware Team,

I am a fan of Anthem and want to see the game live up to is potential and succeed. One of my favorite books ever is Starship Troopers. That book invented the concept of Powered Battle Armor. I also have some medical issue that interfere with mobility. A suit like that is a freedom fantasy that resonates with me deeper than most.

With all respect, right now is a critical time for Anthem. Many players are leaving after the loot gaf of this most recent patch.

It seems you guys dropped a hotfix the night before the patch. The effect of that change put loot and difficulty close to an ideal state. We are all shocked it was rolled back when the patch hit. And even more shocked when it was revealed that the removal of whites and greens did not proportionally adjust door rates and in fact drop rates have been *lowered.* (see: https://www.reddit.com/r/AnthemTheGame/comments/azbxku/dungeon_loot_update_a_tale_of_numbers_with_200/

How it was the night before the patch is at least close to how it should be in terms of both loot and difficulty. And even if the team is unwilling to buff loot drop rates to that level they need to at least repair the loot table. Removing the two lowest tier items should have had the loot pool proportionally adjust. Increasing chances of blue and purples instead of proportional adjustment is causing a lot of harm and is directly causing people to leave Anthem and cancel their Origin subscriptions.

That it all changed when the patch caught up to the hotfix is very disappointing.

Please consider hotfixing loot drop rates at l something close to pre patch hotfix. This is in the best interests of the success of Anthem.

You can easily view this subreddit and see how much damage these unintentional loot teasers are doing. Yes, that place is toxic thanks to the moderators allowing trolls. But the complaints are valid even if expressed poorly sometimes. Please listen to the rational and reasonable voices calling for this to be fixed, and fixed now.

I read the twitter post and I understand that you guys don't like where loot is at either. Where it is now is not healthy for the games. Months is too long. You will lose too many players if you wait that long.

After pulling back on what people really want, twice, people are going to have hard time trusting you guys. It should be very obvious what we all want and that it will benefit Anthem greatly.

This is a human psychology issue. Now that people have had a taste of that it will be nigh impossible to go back. This may run contrary to your plans for Anthem, but the mistake gas put Anthem in an awkward position. Bioware is stuck having to appease fans on loot at least partly, or risk losing them.

As a staunch defender of Anthem this has lowered my enthusiasm and enjoyment greatly. Now knowing that the friend was even worse than before is disheartening and demotivating.

Do the right things and hotfix it back to the scaling of difficulty and drops to at least what it was before the recent hotfix and patch. We don't need loot showers, only to have the same rates before this most recent hot patch at a minimum.

Lowering drop rates is counterproductive. Please listen and take this to heart. I want to see this game succeed very much. And am very fearful by the time something is done about this it will be far too late.

We all want to have fun playing Anthem. Please help us do so.
