UPDATE (7:16 p.m.) Change.org won’t let me make another update within 24 hours, but Brian Rose, Vice President for Student Affairs, responded. Unfortunately, he said that the administration WILL NOT be canceling classes for the full day. I hope everyone stays safe in the snow! Please be careful and good luck with the rest of the semester.

It’s going to keep snowing until midnight in Binghamton and there is already a lot of ice and snow on the ground. For the safety of everyone, students should not feel like they have to travel to get to their classes after 12 tomorrow. The roads are icy and dangerous and people have gotten into accidents. Multiple accidents have occurred in the Binghamton area and common routes students take to get back to campus.

If classes were cancelled, it would give people a chance to drive back from break tomorrow instead of today in dangerous conditions. Students shouldn’t have to risk their safety just to attend class.
