Add "Binghamton Mets" as an option for the name-the-team poll

Add "Binghamton Mets" as an option for the name-the-team poll
The Issue
Earlier this year, the Binghamton Mets (hereafter referred to as "B-Mets") announced their intentions to rebrand. The fans never wanted nor asked for a rebrand, and have loved going to B-Mets games for several years now. When the time came for the contest to begin, many voiced their displeasure and voted for the B-Mets to stay.
Of course, when the "Super Six" was announced, the B-Mets name was COMPLETELY omitted, with such names as "Bullheads," "Gobblers" and "Rocking Horses" included instead. When I spoke to the front office, the guy rudely said that B-Mets fans don't matter and that the other choices got more votes than B-Mets did. He also refused to include at least a write-in option, saying "you had your chance in the first round." So you expect us to believe that more people voted for "Rumble Ponies," "Stud Muffins" and "Timber Jockeys" than to keep their B-Mets around for years to come?
As such, we ask the new ownership to reconsider their choices and add another option for us fans who have supported the B-Mets for a quarter century (either a "Binghamton Mets" or a write-in field will do). That way, whichever name is decided upon will TRULY be the one which the entire Southern Tier wants.
