Hi, my name is Michaela and I’m a huge Green Day fan. I’ve only gotten into them this past summer of 2019, but I love these 3 boys with my whole heart. I also love a lot of Broadway musicals, so you would think that I would love the American Idiot musical on Broadway. Well, I do very much. American Idiot is an amazing musical, but sadly, it closed on Broadway back in April of 2011. However, I think that we can bring it back for a revival. I think that American Idiot is very relevant to not only today’s politics in America, but also to today’s politics around the world. It also has a great storyline, and I think a lot of people and especially teenagers relate to it. Also, on the business side of things, bringing it back on Broadway will attract Green Day fans like me, so they will pay for tickets to see the show and Broadway will consume a lot of money from it. I also feel like the rock scene isn’t as relevant as it was a decade ago, so bringing it back would definitely make the rock scene thrive and make rock music cool again. I’m only a teenager, but a teenager can sure dream. Please share this petition as much as you can. If you know someone who is a Green Day fan, share it! If you know someone who is a Broadway fan, share it! I need as many signatures as possible so that one of the members of Green Day can see this and start thinking about it so that we can see this amazing musical back on Broadway again. Thank you!
