Justice for Lucky the beloved Chihuahua
The Issue
On September 30th, 2015 Lucky the Chihuahua went missing from his home. In the days and weeks following his dedicated family (The Baileys) and friends hung 300+ fliers, walked the neighborhood, checked the area shelters and hope he would be returned. The last time Lucky was seen alive, he was snuggled in bed with his 3 year old human. As time passed his family had only hoped Lucky was taken in my a family who just wanted to keep him and not return him, since he had not turned up at any of the local shelters and there were no replies to the many fliers placed in is area of disappearance.
On November 17, 2015 The Bailey family got horrific news from a Phoenix Detective, a person they knew (and was at the house the night Lucky disappeared) had just been questioned and admitted to torturing, killing, mutilating, taking pictures of the act and disposing of Lucky's lifeless and disassembled body in a dumpster. The evening following Lucky's death, this sick human being spent time at the Bailey's home acting concerned regarding Lucky's disappearance as he had accidentally let him out, knowing good and well he had already killed and disposed of Lucky. In the weeks and months following the cruelty he placed upon this beloved family member, he showed the pictures of his criminal act to others and bragged about the torture and mutilation. Someone who had viewed the photos was responsible enough to alert the authorities.
He is a criminal, who lacks a conscience or empathy. This was an intentional act and he needs to be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We ask you Bill Montgomery, County Attorney and the Central Valley Bureau of the County Attorney's Office that he be immediately be charged with felony animal cruelty and to show no lenience in allowing his charges to be downgraded to a misdemeanor.
