Remove the Nathan Bedford Forrest bust from the Tennessee State capital

Remove the Nathan Bedford Forrest bust from the Tennessee State capital
The Issue
Nathan Bedford Forrest was a Confederate general, slave trader, and founder of the infamous KKK. A bust of him was placed in the Tennessee State capital building in 1978, over a hundred years after the civil war. This statue does not belong inside the most powerful building in the state of Tennessee.
We are requesting that the statue be removed from the Tennessee State captial, preferably placed into a museum so it might be seen with proper context. A statue of a traitor, racist, white supremacist slave owner does not belong in the same building where laws are decided on behalf of all Tennesseans, regardless of color.
