Save Paris Landing State Park Inn

The Issue

Paris Landing State Park Inn is set to be torn down in August 2018 and replaced with a new, smaller inn, which is scheduled to be built over a 2-3 year period at a cost to taxpayers of $26 Million solely in construction costs.  Over this same time period, it will cost Henry County alone roughly $300,000 per year in lost tax revenue.  Additionally, employees are losing their jobs or being forced into early retirement.  Please help me tell Governor Haslam and current State Representative Wirgau that all of this is unnecessary.  Paris Landing State Park Inn can be renovated in phases at a much lower cost to taxpayers, and, in the process, can remain open throughout the renovation period with minimal tax revenue lost to Henry and surrounding counties (Stewart and Benton) and without the loss of jobs to employees.  Sign this Petition requesting that Governor Haslam and Representative Wirgau postpone the decision to tear down Paris Landing State Park Inn until the new governor takes office in January 2019 and the new administration can review the issue.  If elected State Representative, I, Bruce Griffey, would strongly encourage the new Governor to renovate Paris Landing State Park Inn, NOT tear it down!
