Support Funding For Community Cats TNR (Trap /Neuter/ Release)
The Issue
The army of Trap Neuter Return partners are dismayed that the Audubon Society has such power as to delegitimize the rights of historically free roaming cats. These Cats are burdened to suffer repeated rapes and pregnancies. Kittens are forced to suffer dirty and mostly toxic birthing areas. Illness spreads through colonies that are not vetted. They do not die fast; they live for years with disease giving birth repeatedly. The Audubon Society should realize that our City will never lower itself to euthanizing free roaming (Neighborhood) Cats....so the best method left for them to reduce the population that they feel is attacking birds is to support TNR. The network of registered Colonies has caretakers that feed and vet these animals. This reduces any aggressive bird hunting that they claim. The Audubon Society should look at Cats in different categories instead of one big group. We need this law to pass in order to make this a common sense process easier. support Senator Klein's Bill http://assembly.state.ny.us/leg/?default_fld=&bn=S06182&term=2017&Summary=Y&Actions=Y&Text=Y&Committee%26nbspVotes=Y&Floor%26nbspVotes=Y
