I've been living in and going to school in NYC for 4 years now. As a little girl, I was always in awe of the seemingly wealthy New Yorkers being pulled along in a horse drawn carriage like Cinderella. It wasn't until I was there on a regular basis that I began to notice how poorly the horses were being treated.

Drivers consistently abused the animals and horses were being ridden straight into heavy traffic. As an equestrian of 10 years, I know how frightening this is for a horse. After looking further into the matter, I found endless research on how poorly the horses were being cared for and maintained. Many horses have become ill, gone missing, or died as a result of their dangerous and abusive condition.

Please sign and help these horses get the care they deserve. Let's ban horse-drawn carriage rides in New York City altogether.
