It's important for us to raise our voice against such horrific incidents and let our children know that the world is better than what they have seen till now.

Out of 300 shelter homes across Bihar, many were run by Bihar government. They were reported by TISS for abuse/violence. Bihar Government says it will take control of all the shelter homes from the NGOs.
When the shelter homes run by the Bihar Gov itself were accused of abuse/ violence, when the ex Minister of Welfare Manju Verma (acting then), ex Minister of Welfare's son and state party's General Secretary Rajiv Raut are suspected to be involved, how do we trust the implementation of Bihar Gov's upcoming policies, agendas to be transparent in the future?

We are filing a PIL in Supreme Court for a transparent and healthy running shelter homes in Bihar, to figure out the best possible way to provide a home to these kids.

As a society we failed to protect our children. Is abuse/rape/trafficking/losing mental stability the only fate for an orphan? Shelter homes became an abuse centre. No one had any idea until the TISS gave its report. Few who knew about it, couldn't report the wrongdoings, because they were afraid for their life. Because the system was rigged.

Signing the petition at Change.org will help us show the Bihar gov and Supreme Court of India, that our children don't have their parents but they have us. Bihar gov has to do more to curb bad governance and management.
