Considering the recent spike in cases in South Carolina, we are demanding that you require masks for all patrons who wish to shop at your business. 

You represent a business in our local area that is essential for every resident in the area.  None of us can do without the food and sundries that you sell.  However, with the recent serious spike in cases and the refusal of so many to wear masks, we feel that you need to make your stores as safe as possible for everyone.  Your employees are part of this issue as well.  While cashiers are protected by plexiglass, every other employee in your store is only protected by the mask they wear.  If confronted by a coronavirus carrier who isn’t wearing a mask, your employee is at risk for getting sick.

Many of the shoppers you serve are older, have health issues, and need greater protection.  While delivery is a wonderful service, it costs more with delivery fees and tips.  Everyone should have the freedom to patronize your store and choose their own food and take advantage of paying the same prices as those who do not have the same problems. 

The only way to address these problems in the current climate, is to require masks by everyone inside your store.  This will go very far in protecting all of your shoppers and all of your employees. 

Please understand that a refusal of our demand will cause the undersigned to boycott your business.
