Hawthorne School is the oldest school in Beverly Hills. It housed the highest scores in all of the BHUSD schools, with Hawthorne scoring 933 in the 2013 Academic Performance Index.  Horace Mann Elementary School scored 919, Beverly Vista Elementary School scored 911, and El Rodeo Elementary scored 897, respectively. Hawthorne also has the most central location, with all of the other schools being on the border of Beverly Hills. El Rodeo is right off of Santa Monica Blvd, Horace Mann is on Roberson, and Beverly Vista is just a block south of Wilshire. Not to mention, the school has landmark status. The district can't just tear it down, and it will just be sitting there.
