Dear Friends of Mountain Creek,
Are you enjoying the outdoors more in this time of the pandemic? Friends of Mountain Creek (“FOMC”) is a grass-roots effort led by a group of residents dedicated to environmental preservation and protection of the former The Quarry Golf Course in Chattanooga, TN at the foot of beautiful and scenic Signal Mountain. A local developer wants to turn this 50+ acre greenspace into high-density multi-family rental apartments and medium-density single family housing, destroying its natural beauty and wildlife habitat forever. FOMC has been working to change this course of action for the past 2 years and we need your help!
Please join us in preventing yet another high-density development that will “pave paradise” and destroy this pristine natural resource. The developer has promised to “cram in as many doors as possible “ into this space. Please do not let that happen!
If you support preserving nature and maximizing greenspace, please support us! Supporting FOMC’s efforts to protect the Quarry will help us fulfill our mission to preserve this open-space with spring-fed ponds and streams, a Champion Post Oak, and a very active wildlife habitat.
