Friends of Mountain Creek

Approximately 95 residents and FOMC Panel members were present this evening for the third Chip Henderson Facilitated meeting.

In this meeting, the committee responded to the presentation provided by Mr. Pratt in the July 25 meeting.

An additional thirty-four petition signatures were turned-in this evening bringing the total to approximately 1,400.

The FOMC Movement is continuing to gain momentum!

FOMC concluded by offering a list of desired conditions for the development and further stated that the proposal offered by Mr. Pratt in the July 25 meeting was not an acceptable alternative; no apartments being the primary condition. FOMC also stated that the committee remains interested and receptive to other potential solutions. The meeting concluded with a statement by Mr. Pratt recognizing that there is a wide gap and that time is needed to evaluate the FOMC positions to explore whether alternatives are feasible.

Chip Henderson proposed and it was agreed by the FOMC Panel and Mr. Pratt to defer next Monday’s August 13RPA hearing on the City Council Resolution on C-2 Zoning Conditions for the Quarry for thirty days.
