The City Council believes that before they can proceed with backing the Resolution, the residents should sit down with Mr. Pratt and try to find common ground and hopefully arrive at an acceptable agreement on how to proceed. Similar in some ways to the development of the Quarry, the development on Hillocks Farms was contentious. Chip was successful working in this way in 2014 with residents and the developer to satisfy all parties. If an agreement is not reached, the Resolution will proceed in the August 13 Planning Commission Meeting. A panel of seven residents has been appointed by Chip to represent our interests in this discussion. The panel members include Steve Hunt, Chuck Grant, Lorraine Foreman, Rick Thompson, Jim Fields, Jim Folkner and Frances Geier and will have the authority to vote on proposed solutions for the Friends of Mountain Creek. The discussion(s) with Pratt will be OPEN TO ALL CONCERNED RESIDENTS. WHATS NEXT? First, Chip is going to meet with this panel and set ground rules first. Then, the first discussion with Mr. Pratt will be either July 11 or 12, next Wednesday or Thursday at 5:30 PM. Please leave these dates open on your calendar and plan to attend. The location also has not yet been identified. MORE TO FOLLOW>>>>>>>> Thanks to all of you; Friends of Mountain Creek
