I wanted to share a little more about why I’m trying to raise awareness and push for change.
My ex-partner has served several prison sentences for offences including ABH, GBH, Class A drug offences, and firearms-related crimes. He has also been arrested numerous times on suspicion of attempted murder. He has an extensive history of violence both inside and outside of prison and has been offending for over 20 years.
That’s 20 years of victims—not only those directly harmed by his violence, but also those affected by the criminal lifestyle he continues to choose. Drug dealing is a serious and widespread problem in the UK. County lines operations exploit vulnerable people, with gangs grooming children and young teenagers into criminal activity. The devastating impact of these drugs reaches far beyond those who sell them.
Despite repeated convictions and prison sentences, my ex-partner has shown no meaningful change over the last two decades. In fact, his offending has become increasingly serious, and the harm he has caused has only grown. I live with fear every day because even from behind prison walls he is still able to manipulate people on the outside and cause harm.
This is not acceptable.
Why has there not been proper justice? Why have repeat violent offenders like him been allowed to continue hurting people for so long? Why are the consequences not stronger? Why are victims and communities being failed?
I am speaking out because no one should have to live in fear, and because something needs to change. Repeat violent offenders who show no willingness to reform should face stronger restrictions and greater accountability to protect the public and prevent more people from becoming victims.
Thankyou for all the support 💜
