The Village of Buffalo Grove has decided to stop providing crossing guard services to District 21. This will affect students at Kilmer Elementary, Tarkington Elementary, Longfellow Elementary, Cooper Middle School and London Middle School. This fall, District 21 agreed to the Village's new request to pay 50% of all future crossing guard services, despite their feeling that this is a public safety issue not an educational issue. However the Village refuses to reinstate the crossing guards because they believe they're owed back pay for the past 2 years of service even though an agreement to pay for the service never existed.  Please tell the Village of Buffalo Grove to put the safety of our children first and accept the District's agreement to pay half of all future services as they requested.
