Beverly Crest Homeowners Demanding Transparency on Special Pool Assessment

Beverly Crest Homeowners Demanding Transparency on Special Pool Assessment
The Issue
As homeowners, we find ourselves faced with the dire need for accountability and open communication within our community, especially concerning decisions that directly affect us. An example of this is the special assessment proposed for pool renovations—a major project that comes with a hefty price tag of over $1M or $1700 per household, required within a period of 3 months. We recognize the potential benefit of a pool renovation, but we strongly believe that these decisions should not be hastily made or unilaterally decided by our board without providing a platform for residents to voice their concerns.
Despite support for the pool renovation, many of us feel silenced and sidelined by the lack of forums to discuss this astronomical assessment or to request additional transparency about the project's details. It has been alarmingly noticed that no formal vote was held in many neighborhoods on this matter or clearly outlined financial details shared with residents.
Now, we call upon our board and community leaders to consider our quest for transparency. We seek proper planned time and consideration for such a major project. We assertively demand a formal vote to be held and pertinent documentation, including repair request, citation violations, construction bids, and HOA financials, to be shared with residents before any further steps are undertaken for this renovation.
Failure to provide transparency is a gross oversight, one that not only undermines the faith of our residents in the process and people leading it, but also places an undue financial burden on our families without ample notice or adequate explanation. Now, more than ever, we need our voices to be not just heard but acted upon.
Join us, fellow homeowners, in demanding better. Let's insist on our right to have a say in the decisions that directly affect our households and our communities. Please, sign this petition now to require more transparency, planning and community involvement in the pool renovation. NOTE: 1 signature per household, please.
