As students, we are sometimes left with no option but to move to the area of our educational institute. This is the case for a number of students in Multimedia University Cyberjaya. However, as the hostel on campus has a 1 year stay period where they will divert students to off campus accommodations which is much more expensive, dangerous, risk of getting scammed or landlords running away with your cash deposits, etc. We are hoping that the management will relook into this matter as not every student can afford to stay off campus , let alone have the capabilities so stay off campus especially in the area of Cyberjaya where there has been an increase of crime where the lack of security is a major concern with ongoing reports of mugging, exploitations, drugs, armed robberies, rape cases , etc in this area. It would be greatly appreciated if the hostel management kindly reconsiders their decision due to MMU being an educational institution where it should provide a safe place to students who are financially not up to the par, as well students who are unable to move outside due to reasons mentioned above.
