As an avid fan of the Elder Scrolls series since its inception, (or rather, since I was old enough to play them) The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind is still to this day my most beloved entry in the fantastic collection of fantasy RPGs. Everything from the hardcore specialized character creation, in-depth spell customization, diverse armor and apparel options, and not to mention the sprawling unique open world abundant in all manner of gentile beasts and plagued monstrosities the likes of which haven't been seen in a game since. My hope is that there are many other fans of this masterpiece out there who, like me, want to see this amazing game remastered for current generation consoles/pc as so many other games have been. I've devoted hundreds of hours in to the magnificent experience that is Morrowind, and still to this day I am simply awed by its scale and scope. Lots of people these days seem to be content with the simplification of RPGs. They take for granted the ability to open a map, press a button, and instantly appear at their destination. Or perhaps they love only having to worry about equipping two pieces of armor to have the stylish look of a full set. For me, hiking for 20 minutes through a swamp, fending off Morag Tong assassins and Blighted Kagouti every inch of the way, to arrive in a small settlement where the local blacksmith is selling those awesome adamantium pauldrons I've been itching to get my hands on, is one of the most satisfying experiences that can be had. The only way I can fathom this fantastic game being enriched further is with the tender treatment and care of its creators giving it the remastered makeover. Imagine looking out upon the world from the top of Red Mountain and seeing it with a modern graphical update equivalent to or even better than the likes of Skyrim. Or walking through the vibrant city of Vivec between the massive stone temples and waterways and all of its overly suspicious guards with their badass bonemold armor. To me, this would be a dream come true. And I'm hoping many other fans, as many as it takes, agree with me and want a remaster as well.
