Sen. Bernie Sanders: Please work to put pressure on Govt. to cut meat industry subsidies
The Issue
Animal Agriculture causes more GHG emissions than all transportation combined, is the cause of up to 91% of rainforest destruction, is the leading cause of ocean dead zones, and abuses and slaughters billions of animals all day every day. Meat and dairy are dying businesses, but our federal government is propping them up on crutches by giving them big subsidies with our tax money.
Bernie Sanders cares deeply about both climate change and animal welfare- please join together and help me to show him that if we are to seriously combat climate change, we must put an end to huge government subsidies for cattle "farmers"! With climate disasters happening more and more often, with more and more severity, we MUST address animal agriculture if we are to have a chance at a live-able planet Earth in future years!
