Water released from Lake  Okeechobee down the Caloosahatchee River is contributing to red tide and the loss of sea life. Thousands of fish sea turtles and even a whale shark recently have washed up on shore on SWFL Beaches. Not to mention the quality of water and health risks this is causing to residence. It is also Affecting the economy of the Fort Myers Naples area for tourism.
