Plastic is a MASSIVE problem! Polluting the oceans, killing wild life and filling land fills. Whales and Turtles can't tell the difference between plastic bags and jelly fish, subsequently they are washing up on shore dead due to starvation and I'm sure major other problems that come along with digesting plastic bags.  
Plastic takes over 200 years to break down in to small toxic pieces that continue to pollute the planet. 
We can make a massive difference from cutting out plastic bags from our community and who knows where this will take us next.
