The city of Berkeley conducts its financial affairs almost entirely through Wells Fargo Bank. As Wells Fargo has been proven to act without social and environmental ethics in many facets of its financial management, we demand that the city of Berkeley sever all ties and contracts with Wells Fargo, and extend its current contract to no more than 1 year while moving all of the Berkeley’s financial dealings to local banks and financial institutions deemed to act with fiscal, social, and ethical responsibility.
