Officer Miller left his K9 officer in a hot car and his fellow officer and partner died as a result of the negligence on his part. Bennettsville Police Department has refused to charge this officer of the law. Many, like myself, are outraged and have an opinion that had he been an ordinary citizen, he would have been arrested. There has been so much advocating for animals and not leaving them in hot cars. In fact, many ordinary citizens have been arrested for that very same reason. Bennettsville Police Dept seems to be brushing this matter under the rug. Actually, it is very obvious. The department is portraying underhanded procedures and the public wants justice! I think some investigation of their procedures need to be looked in to at the very least. Officer Miller committed a crime. He should be charged as a result and be held accountable.
