Introduction

Lassana Bathily is the 24 year old Mali born French citizen who saved 7 Jewish lives in a Parisian kosher grocery store where he was working as it came under siege from an anti-semitic terrorist attack on January 9, 2015.

The problem

Since it's inception in the aftermath of the holocaust, Israel has a tradition of officially honouring gentiles who save Jewish lives from anti-semitic murder, yet Israel has not honoured Lassana Bathily for saving 7 Jewish lives, and we don't know the reason why. 

Lassana ignored the ethnicity and religious beliefs of those he saved.  We invite the State of Israel to reciprocate Lassana's act of humanity and ignore his ethnicity, colour and religious beliefs and officially honour him equal to the other gentiles who were officially honoured by Israel after saving Jewish lives.

Please add your name to this petition for the State of Israel to officially honour Lassana Bathily in recognition of his bravery, moral courage, and intellectual integrity in upholding the principle that the human right to life trumps all other rights - and that humans shuold not be judged, degraded or murdered because of their ethnicity, colour, and or religious belief.
