Urge Benefit to Stop Animal Testing

The Issue

Go into any given Sephora store and you'll see a large kiosk filled with Benefit products. The cosmetics company has exploded in popularity and been used by thousands of women worldwide. However, what consumers don't know is that their Roller Lash mascara or POREfessional tubed primer was created as a result of ending the lives of thousands of innocent animals. While Benefit states in its FAQ that it doesn't test on animals and supports funds for discovering non-animal testing alternatives, it does sell in China, where the government requires cosmetics companies to test on animals in order to manufacture there. Benefit states they are "hopeful that alternative testing methods will be adopted worldwide", but currently, this is not an option. If every person who sees this petition signs it or even donates a very small sum, there is a higher chance that Benefit will find this petition, note its signatures, and adopt new policies. With Benefit's prominence in the international cosmetics scene and the increasingly crucial demand for cruelty-free products from the general public, this step will help encourage China, and other international territories requiring animal testing as the only valid method, to reconsider. More than 100 million animals are killed a year for animal testing: let's help lower that amount, signature by signature.
