After the recent speed limit reduce on Marong Rd Calder highway, Waratah Rd Huntly & Nolan st, we’re here to reverse them changes & put up more speed limits around Bendigo to help everyone get to where they need to go ASAP.

Marong Rd is now way too slow & the speed limit reduce needs to be put back up to at least 70KM & have it start just before Maiden Gully Rd not Smiths Rd. Like Marong rd & Edwards rd had the same issues a couple of years back as Schumakers Ln & Beckhams Rd is currently having & there was no speed limit reduce back then. After the traffic lights were installed, the problem was fixed, plus still letting everyone get to where they need to go ASAP.

 

Other speed limits that need to be put up:

Most straight main roads need to be changed from 50KM to 60KM like all of the below

Alder St Golden Square/Kangaroo flat.

Symonds St Golden Square.

Bay St between MacKenzie St west & High St.

Marnie Rd Kennington.

Lancaster Rd & Harvey Ln jackass flat.

Waratah Rd Huntly.

Harley St Kennington/Strathdate.

Caldwells Rd eaglehawk.

Jobs Gully Rd California Gully between Averys Rd & Bright St roundabout.

Crook St between St Aidand Rd/Cousins St roundabout & Mclvor highway.

Callaghan St/Backhaus St between St Killian St & popperthead Rd.

Victoria St/Harrison St between Eaglehawk Rd & View St roundabout.

Havliah Rd Long Gully between Bennett St & Moran St.

Thistle St Golden Square between Adam St & Abel St/Sulluvan St roundabout.

 

If Mytrle Rd & Station St can be 60KM, all the following should be too:

Bob St/Dundas St White hills between Heinz St & Powell St.

Panton St golden square/Hatgreaves St Bendigo between Oak St & Myrtle St.

Allingham St between Hattam St & Hunter St with the recent Allingham St upgrades.

All of these will help congestion on the main road.

 

Roads/Streets that need to be put up from 60KM to 70KM. Most bush roads/streets like all of the below:

Prouses rd north Bendigo between Holdsworth rd roundabout & Bright st

Crane st jackass flat between Jacob st & Watson st

Maiden Gully rd Maiden Gully between Batten st & Patas rd roundabout

Sparrowhawk rd West Bendigo between Pioner dr & Keenes rd

Heywood st between Bundas st & Rowena st

 

Other speed limit:

All of Bracewell st Maiden Gully need to 80KM not just half of it or at least 70KM all the way through.

All of Bendigo CBD 40KM zone should be 50KM between 9PM-7AM.

Nolan st need to be pull back up to 60KM or to at least 50KM.

Most of the Bendigo permanent 40KM schools zone should be only 40KM between 8am-4pm or 8am-5pm & have them 50KM the rest of the time.
