Councilor Elise Chapman has recently voiced her concern about female genital mutilation. Councilor Chapman knows what's right and is strong enough to stand up for what she believes in.

The world should be horrified by female genital mutilation but we can't fight this appalling practice without courageous people like Councilor Chapman shining a light.

We need to support the people who expose vile behaviour and condemn those that perform or condone these vile acts. 

We support Councilor Elise Chapman and the important work she does not only for the residents of Bendigo but for women everywhere.
