Bend has a total of 3 outdoor skateparks. The parks are good, but the issue is all of them are located on the east side of Bend. It’s hard to get the motivation to go to the skatepark, when you have to go all the way across town. Also, making a skatepark on the west side of bend will minimize the crowds at the other skateparks. There’s plenty of spots that would be perfect for a skatepark on the west side of Bend. It would also cut down on the amount of street skating done. When people on the west side want to go skate, but don’t have a ride or way to get to the skatepark, they have to go skate the street spots. Making a skatepark on the west side of Bend would be a positive way to cut down on wear of street spots and property, and better balance out the skate scene in Bend. It only makes sense.
