Recently, Forest Hills High School changed the location of our prom from Leonard’s Palazzo, where we had our prom for years, to Astoria World Manor. This petition is to get the school to change it back to the old location because Astoria World Manor is not the best fit for our school. Previous graduating classes all loved Leonard’s Palazzo and had a wonderful time at their proms and we want to continue the tradition of having a beautiful place for prom. Additionally, the area the venue is in is an extremely crowded and busy area alone. Imagine 1000+ students in big prom dresses and suits struggling just to get to prom. For the amount of students that will be attending prom, it is not a venue that is easily accessible. The entire graduating class has gone through enough this year and we are just trying to enjoy our last year of high school. We are the ones paying for the prom tickets and they are very expensive on top of senior dues and other prom preparations. For the amount of money that we are paying, it should be worth the money and enjoyable for everyone. The graduating class of 2019 should be able to enjoy prom just as much as students from previous years did. Please sign the petition and spread the word!
