A few months ago, the unsustainable Olympia Hills proposal was approved by the county council.  This approval came from a majority of individuals that live far from the development and will never have to feel the impact of their decision. This decision also came despite the well-founded objections of thousands of area residents.

I want to express my personal appreciation to everyone that has contributed to the effort. Our combined efforts have proven that a majority of our County government is out of touch with those they claim to represent.

This upcoming election, we have an opportunity to make our voices heard once more. We have a chance to remove the out of touch officials and replace them with representatives that will listen.

I would like to publicly acknowledge my personal endorsement of Trent Staggs for Salt Lake County Mayor. Trent has been a part of the push back against the county from the beginning and has proven to be a public official that listens to residents.

I strongly encourage everyone to visit the Trent Staggs for Mayor website for more information. If you support new county leadership that listens, please consider getting involved in the fight to elect new leadership this fall.

If you are not sure about your voter registration status, please visit the Utah voter registration website to register, check your status, or select a vote by mail ballot.

Thank you again for your support. Let’s continue the effort and put leadership in place that supports the voice of the people!
