As you may know, Clyde Butcher will be holding an Exhibition at the South Florida Museum October 8-January 17, 2015 with keynote lecture October 16, 2015. With that in mind the Stone Soup Community Unity would like to present a photographic exhibition competition and invite all the schools of Manatee County to participate. Sincerely , Kimberly YoungShepherd Stone Soup Community Unity Presents ......In The Spirit of Clyde Butcher Glazier Gates Historical Heritage and Nature Park Photo Shoot Competition Judged Exhibition Displayed Oct 23 -24, at Live The Life. Org 1001 Manatee Ave East Presentation Reception Oct. 24, 2-4 pm First Place Winners and their families will have a meet and greet with Clyde Butcher at the Big Cyprus Gallery, Ochopee Florida. Second Place Winners will receive a signed Clyde Butcher illustrated book; framed Clyde Butcher poster. Third Place Winners will receive disposable cameras. There will be a Glazier Gates t shirt raffle. All types and all size photos accepted. Photos must be black and white. Photos must be mounted on black illustration board with 2 inch boarder. Works must be labeled with name, address, phone number and title(name) of work. Entry fee is $1 ages 7-12; $3 ages 13 -17. Participants may enter as many works as they like. Parents are encouraged to participate to photograph and exhibit their work too! $10 entry adult fee, 18 and up. Adult works will be on display, not included in competition. Entries accepted Oct. 21-22, 2-7 pm at Ceiba Spring West 1420 1st Ave East Bradenton All Children ages 7 and up through high school and parents are invited to participate in photographing at Glazier Gates Historical Heritage and Nature Park located at 1015 Manatee Ave. East, 10 th St East and Manatee Ave in Historic Old Town Manatee. Glazier Gates Park is open from 7 am - sunset. Photos are to be of Nature,Trees, and the various visitors, human and nature, that come to the park. Aside from the photo competition, Every Saturday and Sunday from 12- 2 pm art in the park will be available to all children who attend the park, weather accommodating.
