19 July 2016 PLEASE COULD WELL MEANING RESIDENTS STOP POSTING THAT THEY THINK THE SOUTH WAY/LANGLEY LANE PLAY AREA IS OPEN. Today Bellway decided to take the fences down around the play area. They jumped the gun and had no authorisation to do do. Thanks to a sharp eyed resident posting in this group, the fences were re-erected later this afternoon PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILDREN TO USE THIS PLAY AREA AT PRESENT, AS THERE ARE A FEW MORE THINGS TO BE DONE. Having met with the lead officer yesterday, and checked with her earlier today, Three Rivers hope to be able to take control of the plsy area in about a week, and then open it. Please do not allow your children on it yet. It does not have a safety certificate and we know it still has hazards. I have removed several posts stating that the area is or may be open because I really do not want harm to come to a child whose parent thinks it is safe to play there. It will really only be a few more days. When it is opening, you will all be the first to know.
