Aviation forecast models show passenger and air cargo demand at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Washington’s primary airport, will most likely exceed its capacity by 2027. The logical reason to help solve this problem would be to expand in Bellingham offically making it a medium sized hub for the state of Washington. Expanding Bellingham would offer many more opportunities for travel and for airlines to start service there. This would make the City of Bellingham flourish even more than it already is. It gives many others the opportunity to explore a northwestern part of the country that is very often left unexplored but very special indeed. Currently Bellingham only has a few gates but expansion or restoration had long been thought of and you can do your part to start dreaming of where you want to go with the various new airlines that could serve new destinations from Bellingham if they could just expand a little more. Places like Canada or the east coast could be achieved by jumping on plane in the expanded terminal with more gates.

This would be a huge move for a small city like Bellingham. The local colleges would benefit too with their students being able to travel at a cheap price during the summer and Bellingham along with the local travelers in town, many Canadians flock down from British Columbia to fly out of this small but growing airport ever day.  You can help do your part to start this process by signing this into effect and  hopefully giving washington state another big hub for low cost carriers that grows day by day.
