Bellingham High School, and the School Board: Restore the original Bellingham High School mascot

Bellingham High School, and the School Board: Restore the original Bellingham High School mascot
The Issue
This is important because Bellingham High is a part of Bellinghams history, and mascots are respected figures in society.
The importance of them are respected by people everywhere, with many different activities. Private and national.
The thought of people thinking that young adults in society have no respect for anyone or anything other than themselves, has never been to a high school pep rally.
Bellingham High isn't the only school that has been affected by this. There have been schools across the country who have had to change their names, and change their colors or mascots because it offended people. I'm not putting down the people who were offended by it, because they had personal reasons why they thought it wasn't right. I'm here to show them that there are people who respect mascots, and respect what they stand for. Not everyone is like those few people who ruined it.
I do understand however, that we are playing with a racial disagreement. And I want you all to know that too. But I'd like to let people know and show them that we are in no way showing disrespect towards anyone. It needs to be put out there that by continuing to use the original Red Raider, we are showing respect, love and honor, supporting everything that they stand for.
Mascots are a sign of respect, a symbol of admeration, lets bring it back.
