Bell Canada: waive overage charges for rural customers during COVID-19 quarantine

0 have signed. Let’s get to 5,000!

Bell Canada has agreed to waive overage fees for its residential internet customers who are isolated at home due to the COVID-19 crisis. However, this policy currently does not extend to its mobile internet plans (rocket hubs), which for many rural customers are the only available option for internet service. Most of these plans max out at 100 GB per month, with overage fees of $5/GB once you go over. While offices and schools are closed and we are being asked to work and learn from home, 100 GB will be used up very quickly. Rural users will be forced to either pay huge overage fees while isolated at home, or to miss out on income and education. We're asking Bell Canada to waive overage fees for mobile home internet customers during the COVID-19 crisis like it is doing for its residential internet customers.
