Israa Jaabis is 37 years old Palestinian woman and a mother of Mutasim who is 13 years old boy is now (he was only 7 years old when his mother was arrested). Jaabis was sentenced to 11 years in prison by an Israeli court in Jerusalem. In addition to a fine of 50 thousand shekels.  How was she arrested?  On the 15th of October 2015, Israa went from Jericho to her new house in Jerusalem to transfer some of her household items and to practice her usual work as a supervisor in a nursing home. In addition to her volunteer work in making events for children in which she plays the role of the clown (Soso). Her purpose of the journey to Jerusalem was to submit research of her own the next day.   On her way to Jerusalem, her car broke down 1,500 meters away from the Al-Zaim checkpoint. She stopped at the street side to think about how to solve the problem and to call someone for help. Meanwhile, an Israeli policeman car stopped and asked her what she is doing there, Israa replied that she had a problem with her car and at this moment she started to smell a strange smell coming from the front of the car, so she tried to get out of the car. The policeman prevented her from leaving the car and pushed her back inside and closed the door on her hand. Israa tried again to get out of the car, but he closed the door again and threatened her with his weapon. Then a fire broke out in the front of the car due to electric friction and the gas leakage from the airbag explosion. Israa was burning and tried to protect her face with her hands. Her car doors were automatically closed so she couldn’t open the door to escape, and the policeman refused to open the door from the outside and left her surrounded by the fire flames to melt her flesh.  At these moments, a Palestinian man passed by in a car, he stopped and tried to put out the fire with his fire extinguisher, the policeman tried to stop him, but he insisted and tried to get Israa out of the car. After that, a large car of the Israeli occupation soldiers came by, and they intervened and dragged Israa on the street and assaulted her despite her injury until the ambulance arrived.   Then the interrogation started not taking into consideration she was injured. When they tried to remove her clothes, they found them stuck to her burnt body, and then, the doctors and the nurses themselves completed the investigation in the ambulance and the hospital.  There was no shooting at the car, and the empty gas cylinder that was with her in the trunk of her car did not detonate as the occupation authorities say in their false narrative (pictures and videos document what really happened).  What happened after she was arrested?  Israa was unjustly and falsely sentenced to eleven years, which she has spent nearly 6 of, far from her family and her only child Mutasim.   Israa today suffers from first, second, and third-degree burns that affected more than 60% of her body. In addition, she suffers from deformities in the face, back, and chest. Eight of Israa’s fingers were amputated due to an operation the occupation has made without taking her consent first. Moreover, she was subjected to all kinds of physical and psychological torture and emotional blackmail.   Israa is breathing from her mouth instead of her nose due to her burns for 6 years now and she cannot eat easily, because her fingers are amputated so the food falls on the ground before it reaches her mouth. During one interview she was asked do you feel pain? she answered the pain is visible, you can see my pain.  Israa is in dire need of at least eight surgeries related to her vital organs, to lead her normal life in detention. These surgeries include surgery to separate the remaining fingers of her hands that are stuck together in addition to surgery to transplant skin to cover her exposed bones and another surgery to separate her ears after they have melted. However, the occupation refuses to provide her with the treatment or to let her get help.     Israa was unjustly detained, and her voice was forcibly disappeared.
