Before We Build, Let Them Live: Demand a Wildlife Impact Report and Safe Relocation Plan!

The Issue

Petition: Protect Our Wildlife from Rampant Development!

As someone deeply committed to the wellbeing of all living species, I am gravely concerned about the accelerating pace of unchecked development projects. These projects are not only stripping wildlife of their natural habitats but are also pushing them into human-populated areas, creating dangers for both animals and people and disrupting the delicate balance of our ecosystems.

Infrastructure development is a leading cause of declining animal populations and biodiversity worldwide. According to the WWF, wildlife populations have plummeted by 60% between 1970 and 2014 due to habitat destruction primarily caused by human activities, including development (Global Biodiversity Outlook 5 by World Wildlife Fund). This alarming statistic underscores the long-term consequences of unrestrained development.

Given these stark realities, I urge development agencies, town planners, and governing bodies to mandate a comprehensive Environmental Impact Report and a humane Wildlife Relocation Plan before the initiation of any new projects. These measures will not only protect vulnerable wildlife populations but also preserve our environment for future generations.

It's time to prioritize sustainable and thoughtful development practices. The wellbeing of countless species – and our own – depends on it. Please sign this petition to demand change.
