📬 Update From the Campaign

This week, letters were mailed and new outreach efforts continued. We also had the privilege of reaching out to a beautiful Native community. If we are going to preserve a piece of this land, we should do everything we can to remember not only our children and veterans, but also the original people who walked this land long before us.

Imagine the opportunities this land could provide for future generations. School outings where children learn about local history, stewardship, and the cultures that shaped this region. Traditional storytelling, music, dancing, and educational programs that help keep important knowledge alive. Imagine planting native and historic fruit trees, including pawpaw trees—a fruit once common in America but largely forgotten today. Imagine children tasting something their ancestors may have known centuries ago while learning why preserving land matters.

To embrace the future, we must also save and teach the past.

Every signature, every share, every message, and every conversation matters.

We are still fighting. As long as there is a path forward, we cannot surrender. We owe it to future generations to try.
