We have written this up for you to copy/paste/edit (to suit your situation) and send to your representatives. Please remember to attach the petition to the emails so they know we stand in numbers. 

We have started a petition to create awareness for our industry and the fact that we may need some extra financial assistance regardless of what phase we open. If we open early then we will have to take measures that cost us a lot of our productivity and take PPE away from front line workers and risk a spike in infection. If we open late we still have to cover all of our overhead expenses. Either way it seems like we will need a #beautyindustrybailout. Even if we adapt our industry to teach clients how to cut their hair virtually we will need subsidies while our industry transitions. So I just wanted to connect with you about this and if you could please read our thoughts in the petition it would be greatly appreciated. We just wanted to open dialogue and create awareness.
