Beaumont CA animal shelter

The Issue

In the city of Beaumont on Facebook alone, there are hundreds of animals that are being posted every day that either don’t have homes or have been lost from their homes and need a way to get back and a safe place to land until they can get back home. In this city, we do not have that. We do not even have a shelter within 15 minutes of our city that is able to help us. We are no longer contracted with Ramona animal shelter and we no longer have a shelter in banning even if a proposal is being set and locations are in talks, there is no time to waste. We have this problem within our own city within our own boundaries and this needs to be handled. I on my own, have rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed close to 40 animals. They have varied in age and health conditions. I have unfortunately had a stray that passed away in my own home, but luckily he passed away knowing love and a family and warmth, and he is currently buried with my pets in my backyard. This is not something that should fall on one or any individual in the city. This falls on our city, including the fact that we don’t even have a sustainable animal control. With this petition, we as Beaumont citizens are demanding a change in helping these animals. We are demanding a no kill shelter within our city lines for our pets. No pet owner can be perfect and mistakes happen and unfortunately, our furry friends can leave our walls but no one should have to drive over an hour to find their furry friend. No one should have to look to Facebook or social media to help find their family member. We should have solutions to this problem within our own city and as a fourth generation Beaumont citizen, I am demanding a change and a difference for our animals.
