Rape and abuse is evil... it is worse when the victim is a special needs child....

Please sign the petition and support it , help the law makers of Sri Lanka to bring in more stringent laws so that victims and their families will not be further intimidated by the perpetrators of these crimes.

Create awareness that no matter who you are, what your social standing is, your child with special needs is not safe... there are heartless, sick, evil, bullying monsters happy to take advantage .  Enough is enough! If we continue to remain silent, we are endorsing this  and all such crimes.

Mothers and Fathers, this could be your child. Read the story of young 'Ajith' (name withheld for security reasons)

Ajith is a special needs kid who keeps to himself and who has overcome a lot, with the help of his family, to work at a well reputed establishment in Colombo which I'm sure many of you are patrons of.

Ajith doesn't talk much so he hadn't revealed what was going on all this time. Apparently, he had been raped multiple times over the course of a long period of time by 4 of his fellow employees. Knowing that he was a special needs kid, they thought they could get away with it and they did for a short while until Ajith came out with everything because he couldn't take it anymore.

The perpetrators had been threatening to kill Ajith and his family if he ever told anyone what they were doing. They would sometimes hide his clothes, beat him, use his money to buy their lunch. In other words, they took complete advantage of him and threatened death if he told anyone.
