Be the voice for the VOICELESS and stop Veterinary Malpractice now

The Issue

Veterinary  Malpractice,  the silent systemic problem that's growing rapidly throughout our country. Did you have a bad experience with a Veterinary Hospital or Clinic? Maybe your companion died unexpectedly and the Veterinarian could not explain what happened? Your healthy young animal companion went in for a dental cleaning or a simple spay or neuter and died as a result?

Virginia has labeled our companion animals as property. When a Veterinarian deviates from the standard of care and your pet suffers injury or death, not much compensation can be recovered for your loss. This petition was made to spread awareness and to hold Veterinarians accountable for intentional and negligent error in practicing Veterinary Medicine below the standard of care.  Virginia  law tells animal owners how to treat their pets but when a Veterinarian maliciously and intentionally harms a companion animal, resources are lacking and liabilty is swept beneath the rug. Further, legal help should be offered to help Pro Se' litigants seek justice for their companions. There are NO attorneys in Virginia that represent plaintiffs for Veterinary Malpractice. Speaking from experience, I am going through this right now. My companion was intentionally neglected and  improperly discharged due to the Malpractice of a Veterinary Hospital. She died 13 minutes after being discharged. She unfortunately,  did not see her first birthday. (Portions of expert opinion for validity to the DVMs malpractice can be found by visiting Facebook #justiceforyetiVA to read her full story.) It's time for a change. The time is now.

Just like children and the elderly, our animal companions have no voice. We need laws to protect them. Not just laws about owners but for professionals that render treatment and services to our beloved pets everyday. Take action to protect your family member now. Your participation will bring change to protect our animals. Veterinary Malpractice is steadily increasing. There are no consequences for those we leave our trust and faith in to care for our pets.  Sign now and be a voice for the voiceless.
