To all humans and soccer (football) lovers across the world

While we are all waiting for the sound of the first whistle to kick off FIFA World Cup Qatar, the people of Iran are fighting for their fundamental rights and against the dictatorship of the Islamic Regime. Numerous Iranians are being killed on the streets,and those who survive the protests, face the most horrible and barbaric punishments in the Islamic Regime’s prisons.

Unlike you, the World Cup 2022 doesn’t give us neither joy nor excitement! It’s impossible to revel in this tournament, while mourning forour friends and families, and fighting for the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement. The movement which claims to celebrate equality for the people of the entire world, regardless oftheir gender, race, and social class.

We are concerned that the focus of the international media on FIFA World Cup 2022, could becomea distraction, which the Islamic Regime will use to continue and intensify its violent suppression of the people of Iran. As of now, more than 339 people havebeen killed, including 50 kids, by Islamic Regime in Iran, and we believe the numbers will increase by day, even after the World Cup starts. The possibility of forgetting about the crimes againsthumanity committed by the Islamic regime is a fear that constantly disturbs millions of Iranians. Hence, we are asking for your help. We ask you to please bring signs and flags of the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement with you to the stadium and be our voices. We are confident that these signs will be seen in media coverage of the tournaments, and amplify and project the voices of oppressed people in Iran. A seemingly simple act of carrying and waving a signcan kindle light the flame of hope in the hearts of millions of Iranians and may curb the Islamic Regime’s war machine.

هم‌نوعان و فوتبال دوستان عزیز در سراسر جهان

این‌روزها که همگی منتظر صدای سوت آغاز رقابت‌های جام‌جهانی فوتبال در کشور قطر هستید، ما مردم ایران در تلاش برای کسب حق زندگی آزادانه برابر دیکتاتوری اسلامی مبارزه می‌کنیم و هر روز چند تن از هم‌وطنانمان توسط حکومت، در خیابان‌ها تنها به جرم اعتراض کشته می‌شوند یا تحت شدیدترین شکنجه‌ها در زندان‌های رژیم قرار دارند.
جام‌جهانی ۲۰۲۲ قطر برای ما مردم ایران هم‌زمان با سوگواری دوستانمان است، ما نمی‌توانیم مانند شما به تماشای فوتبال بنشینیم زیرا در حال پیش‌برد جنبش زن،زندگی،آزادی هستیم، جنبشی که مهم‌ترین هدف آن تضمین آزادی و برابری فارغ از نژاد، جنسیت، قومیت و خاستگاه طبقاتی‌ست. 

ما مردم ایران نگرانیم، نگران از این‌که در روزهای آینده تمام توجه جهان معطوف جام‌جهانی قطر بشود و رژیم جمهوری‌اسلامی با استفاده از این فرصت بر شدت سرکوب بی‌افزاید.

در هنگام انتشار این درخواست بیشتر از ۳۳۹ تن از مردم ایران توسط حکومت به قتل رسیده‌اند که ۵۰ تن از آنان کودک بوده‌اند و به احتمال زیاد تا لحظه‌ی به صدا درآمدن سوت دیدار افتتاحیه جام‌جهانی افراد دیگری نیز به این فهرست اضافه می‌شوند.

ما نگرانیم جهان در این یک‌ماه فراموش کند چه جنایتی در ایران جریان دارد. به همین خاطر دست طلب یاری خود را به سوی شما دراز کرده‌ایم و درخواست کمک داریم.

هم‌نوعان و فوتبال دوستان عزیز در سراسر جهان، ما مردم ایران از شما می‌خواهیم هنگام حضور در ورزشگاه و گردهمایی‌ها برای تماشای فوتبال، نوشته‌هایی برای حمایت از جنبش زن زندگی آزادی و مردم مبارز ایران همراه خود داشته باشید تا دوربین‌های تلویزیونی و خبرنگاران مجبور شوند صدای مظلومیت ما را انعکاس دهند. 

برای شما شاید ساده باشد اما موجب دلگرمی ما در ایران شده و ممکن است مانع از آن شود تا جمهوری‌اسلامی به آسانی جنایات خود را در سکوت ادامه دهد.
