There are so many families that are outraged by the approval of the BCSD calendar for the next three years. Whether you are upset that our voices were not heard in the survey, with the local business impact, the calendar changes or any/all of the above - make your voice heard by signing this petition, joining a committee, or both !

The great impact this will have on our valley parents, businesses, teachers, and children can not be ignored. Our voices were made clear in the survey and yet they were not represented in the decision process. Many camps, child care services will not even be available at these early dates. Not to mention small businesses depend on the residents to keep us going until the tourist show up to boost economy. Locals will leave to avoid child care issues and escape the weather, and tourist will not begin coming just yet. There are teachers who also rely on seasonal work during the summer. This petition is to encourage the board to revisit this issue and allow a public forum for the people/parents/tourism/businesses to be heard and finally REPRESENTED !
