Beautiful Bella Cool, in the pristine wildernesses of the Great Bear Rainforest, is the target of mining exploration.

In a letter to the federal & provincial governments, the Stataltmc (Nuxalk Hereditary Chiefs) evicted Juggernaut Exploration Ltd and made it clear that there is no consent for any kind of mining in Nuxalkulmc (unceded, sovereign Nuxalk Territory).

Mining exploration without consent is a human rights violation and must be stopped. 

Backed by the Nuxalk Band Council,  local residents and the Bella Coola Valley Tourism, which represents the majority of local businesses, the valley stands UNITED AGAINST  MINING.  

Our way of life and local tourism is dependent on clean water, salmon, healthy ecosystems and a commitment to providing for future generations. Mining threatens the health & well being of the land, air, water and community.
